Nuraghes of Sardinia

The nuraghe is the primary megalithic structure of ancient Sardinia, built during the Nuragic civilization that flourished between 1900 and 730 BC[1]. More than 7,000 nuraghes have been catalogued across the island, though archaeologists estimate the original number exceeded 10,000[1].
