Thistleton

Thistleton is a Romano-British settlement site in Rutland, England, positioned on the territorial boundary between the Catuvellauni and Coritani tribes. The settlement extended to nearly 100 acres and included a temple precinct with Iron Age origins that evolved through several phases, from circular timber structures in the early 1st century to a late 3rd-century basilica measuring 65 by 45 feet with mosaic flooring. Notable finds include a silver votive feather and a silver plaque dedicated to the god Vheterus by an individual named Mocuxsoma.
