Pyramid G1-b

Pyramid G1-b is a Fourth Dynasty (c. 2600-2500 BC) subsidiary pyramid in the Giza East Field, positioned ten meters south of Pyramid G1-a[1]. It served as the central queen's pyramid among the three queen pyramids adjacent to the Great Pyramid of Giza[1]. The structure originally measured 50 meters on each side and stood 30 meters tall[1]. Egyptologists Mark Lehner and Rainer Stadelmann attribute this pyramid to Queen Meritites I, while Zahi Hawass proposes it may belong to an unknown queen of Khufu who gave birth to Djedefre[2].
