The Heraion of Perachora is an ancient sanctuary of the goddess Hera located in a small cove at the end of the Perachora peninsula on the Corinthian Gulf[1][2]. The site features a temple of unusual construction and antiquity, alongside an L-shaped stoa, large cistern, dining rooms, and a second potential temple[1]. Cult activity likely began in the 9th century BC and continued until 146 BC when Roman general Mummius sacked Corinth[3]. The site holds significant importance for studying the origins of Greek temple architecture and rural cults[1].
