Archaeological Site Tomb Agamemnon

The Treasury of Atreus, also called the Tomb of Agamemnon, is a monumental tholos (beehive) tomb built c. 1250 BC at Mycenae. Its corbelled dome, 14.5 m in diameter and 13.2 m high, remained the world's largest dome until the Roman Pantheon. The entrance features a 120-ton monolithic lintel measuring 9 m long, topped by a relieving triangle. The dromos approach corridor stretches 36 m, lined with cyclopean masonry blocks.
