Located in the village of Kondhane, 33 km north of Lonavala in Maharashtra, India, the Kondana Caves consist of 16 ancient Buddhist rock-cut chambers dating to the 1st century BCE [1]. These caves showcase distinctive wooden architectural patterns in their construction, a rare feature among Indian Buddhist cave monuments [1]. Situated 16 km northwest of the Karla Caves, the site can be accessed by descending from Rajmachi village [1].
