Khuntichi Vaat Hadsar Fort

Hadsar Fort is a Satavahana-era fortification (2nd century BC - 3rd century AD) in the Junnar region of Pune district, Maharashtra, at 3,200 feet elevation. Built to protect the ancient trade route from Mawal to Kalyan via Naneghat, it features rock-cut architecture, a monolithic entrance gate, water cisterns, and temples. Khuntichi Vaat is the challenging northern climbing route where iron pegs are fixed into rock patches for hand- and footholds.
