Henblas Burial Chamber

A disputed Neolithic dolmen on Anglesey, Wales, consisting of two massive quartz-rich glacial erratics up to 4.4m high with a large slab between them interpreted as a former capstone. While the uprights are likely naturally positioned, glacial striae on the capstone's underside indicate human manipulation. A 19th-century account claims discovery of cremated remains, a ring of blue glass (possibly Bronze Age faience), and ashes beneath a slab, though these finds remain unconfirmed. The monument is of national importance for its potential to illuminate Neolithic burial and ritual practices.
