Bryn Gwyn Stones

The Bryn Gwyn Stones are Neolithic standing stones in Brynsiencyn on Anglesey, Wales, dating to approximately 4100-2500 BC. Standing about 280 m southwest of the henge monument Castell Bryn Gwyn, the two surviving stones -- at 4 m and 3 m tall -- are among the tallest standing stones in Wales. In 1723 Henry Rowlands described them as part of a ruinous circle of eight stones in a ring about 16 m across. The taller stone bears notches for roof timbers, evidence of its reuse as an 18th-century cottage gable end.
