Carnedd y Saeson and Neighbouring Cairns North-West of Foel Dduarth

Carnedd y Saeson and neighbouring cairns are a group of seven prehistoric burial cairns northwest of Foel Dduarth near Llanfairfechan, Conwy [1]. The main cairn is a low circular mound 13.75 m in diameter, featuring concentric rings of slate slabs surrounding a central stone cist measuring 1.8 m by 1.2 m [1]. Excavation revealed an unburied body within the cist, a rare find in Bronze Age funerary contexts [1]. The site is dated to approximately 2000 BC and is a scheduled monument in the Religious, Ritual and Funerary category [1].
