Kitanaura Antik Kenti

Kitanaura was an ancient Lycian city whose ruins lie near Saraycik village in the Kumluca district of Antalya Province, Turkey. The city was unknown to ancient authors and was identified in 1998 through coins in the Antalya Museum and a 1st-century AD Roman milestone from Patara. The acropolis features walls up to 5-6 metres high dating from the Hellenistic to Byzantine periods, with remains of multiple basilicas and a notable bath-gymnasium complex. Five churches have been identified, suggesting the city grew in importance with the spread of Christianity in Late Antiquity.
