Karabel Kilisesi

Remains of an early Byzantine church at the Cagman settlement (ancient Plakoma) near Demre, Antalya, in the Lycian region of Turkey. According to the Life of Nicholas of Sion, around 300 people lived in Plakoma during the 6th century. The site lies along the ancient Muskar-Arneai road network and includes a necropolis near Borulce Creek dating to the Byzantine period. The church is part of a broader landscape of monastic and ecclesiastical foundations established across central Lycia during the early Byzantine era.
