Hidirlik Tower

A 14-metre-high Roman structure in Antalya dating to the 2nd century AD, combining a square lower floor with a cylindrical superstructure built from precisely cut limestone blocks. Originally a monumental tomb, possibly for consul M. Calpurnius Rufus, with six fasces reliefs flanking the entrance confirming its Roman origins. Later repurposed as a Byzantine lighthouse. Excavations since 2020 uncovered a column-lined Roman road extending toward Hadrian's Gate, a dolphin-figured mosaic, and ancient bathhouse remains.
