Atçana Harabeleri

Alalakh (Tell Atchana) is a major Bronze Age archaeological mound in Hatay Province, Turkey, located about 20 km northeast of Antakya in the Amuq Valley. The site was inhabited from approximately 2000 to 1200 BC, spanning the Middle and Late Bronze Age. It served as the capital of the local kingdom of Mukiš during the Late Bronze Age and was founded by Amorite populations. The extensive mound covers approximately 22 hectares and reveals palaces, temples, private houses, and fortifications, indicating a sophisticated urban center [1][2].
