Çimdin Kalesi

Cimdin Kalesi is a fortress built on a rocky hill in southeastern Turkey during the 2nd century AD. Constructed of hard limestone with white cut stone walls and bastions, the castle was subsequently used by Byzantine, Arab, and Akkoyunlu forces [1]. The interior was filled with rubble stone, and the western entrance features large caves beneath it, surrounded by a deep defensive ditch carved directly into rock on all four sides [1]. Building remains and a water well have been documented within the castle complex [1].
