Şuayb Antik Şehri

The site contains remains of residential structures built in typical Roman house styles, thought to have served as summer residences for inhabitants of the Harran Plain [1]. A significant cave at the site is traditionally associated with the Prophet Shuwayb (Jethro in Biblical tradition), who according to local legend used the cave as a dwelling and place of worship [1]. This cave continues to be venerated as a sacred site visited by pilgrims [1]. No comprehensive archaeological excavations have been conducted at the site.
