Quesera (Cheeseboard) de Zonzamas

A large basaltic rock carving at the archaeological complex of Zonzamas on Lanzarote, Canary Islands, interpreted as a prehistoric lunisolar calendar with 12 solar and 13 lunar months, similar in structure to the ancient Egyptian calendar [1] [2]. The site is associated with the aboriginal Guanche/Majo culture and is argued to predate Punic or Roman contact, pointing to an Atlantic Bronze Age megalithic cultural horizon [3].
