Qal'at al-Qatif

Qal'at al-Qatif is an ancient fortress in Qatif, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. Originally constructed in the 3rd century AD by the Sassanid Empire, it served as a defensive structure in the Persian Gulf region[1]. The Ottomans extensively restored the castle in 1630, converting it into a military stronghold[1]. Over time, the complex functioned as a warehouse for goods and later as a residential area[1].
