Ain Qannas

Ain Qannas (also spelled Ein Ganas) is a Neolithic archaeological site near Al-Murah village in Al-Hasa, Eastern Saudi Arabia, dating to the late 6th to early 5th millennium BCE [1]. The settlement is associated with the Ubaid period, representing the Arabian Neolithic [1]. Located approximately 60 km (37 mi) from the coast, the site was situated along the shores of an ancient lake during its occupation [1]. The mound rises 4 metres (13 ft) high and extends 250 metres (820 ft) across, indicating a substantial prehistoric settlement [1].
