Al Farid - The Lonely Castle

Qasr al-Farid ("The Lonely Castle") is an unfinished Nabataean tomb at Hegra (Mada'in Salih), a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Al-Ula, Saudi Arabia. Standing approximately 72 feet tall, it is the largest tomb at the site and uniquely features four large pilasters on its facade. Carved from a single rock outcrop starting from the top down around the 1st century AD, its lower third remains rough and unfinished. The site contains 111 monumental tombs in total, with 94 decorated facades.
