Mawk'allaqta (Quechua for "ancient place") is an Inca ceremonial-administrative complex at 3,700 metres elevation above San Antonio village in Pampacolca District, Castilla Province, Arequipa Region, Peru. The site spans approximately 67 hectares, with the main complex containing around 250 structures including a monumental kallanka with five entrances, three ceremonial platforms, and an ushnu. Research indicates it functioned as the principal cult centre and seat of the oracle of the Coropuna volcano, documented by colonial chroniclers including Pedro Cieza de Leon. Investigations began in 1997 under the University of Warsaw's Center for Andean Studies.
