Ta' Ċieda Tower

Ta' Cieda Tower is a Punic-Roman tower in San Gwann, Malta. Its exact origins may date back to prehistory with different architecture [1]. It is argued that the tower could be of Punic origins rather than Roman, but the Romans may have adapted it [1]. During the medieval Muslim period, the site was used as a cemetery [1]. Following the expulsion of Muslims from Malta, a church dedicated to St. Helen was built on the site [1].
