Ballykeel Dolmen

Neolithic tripod portal tomb (c. 3500 BC) at the foot of Slieve Gullion in the Ring of Gullion, County Armagh, and a State Care Historic Monument. Known locally as the Hag's Chair, legend says the Cailleach would fly down to sit on it as her throne. The 3 m capstone with a distinctive notch sits at the south end of a 30 x 10 m cairn. Excavations in 1963 uncovered several hundred sherds of decorated Ballyalton bowls, a javelin head, and flint flakes in a cist at the cairn's north edge.
