Mochlos

Mochlos (3100 BC–10th c. AD) is a small island in the Gulf of Mirabello, eastern Crete, with ruins of a Minoan settlement[1]. Evidence suggests it was connected to the mainland in Minoan times, serving as an eastern harbor[1]. American archaeologist Richard Seager excavated the site in 1908, uncovering a prepalatial cemetery with tombs, pithos burials, and pit graves at the western end[2][3].
