Koufonisi is an uninhabited Greek islet in the Libyan Sea, 5.6 km south of cape Goudero on Crete's eastern coast [1]. The island spans roughly 6 km long and 5.5 km across, with a total area of 5.25 km² [1]. It forms an island group with Makroulo, Marmaro, Strongyli, and Trachilos [1]. During the summer, the island is visited by tour boats from the port of Makry Gialos [1].
