Kavousi Kastro

Early Bronze Age to Middle Bronze Age settlement on Crete's eastern coast, Kavousi Kastro occupies a fortified hilltop 1.4 km southeast of modern Kavousi village at 713 m elevation, overlooking the Gulf of Mirabello in the Thripti Mountains [1]. The site controlled trade routes and agricultural lands in the Mirabello region from approximately 3000 BC until around 1500 BC [1].
