Kavousi Vronda

Kavousi Vronda is an archaeological site in eastern Crete, Greece, located about 1.25 km south of the modern village of Kavousi in the municipality of Ierapetra, Lasithi. Situated in the northern foothills of the Thripti Mountains overlooking the Gulf of Mirabello at 427 m elevation, the settlement was occupied from the Early Minoan period (c. 3000 BC) through the Late Minoan period (c. 1500 BC). Most visible remains date to the Early Iron Age (c. 1200-700 BC), including a large building with a massive pithos, polystoa benches, and bins[1].
