Jannusan Burial Mound Field

Jannusan Burial Mound Field is a Dilmun-era necropolis in the Northern Governorate of Bahrain, dating to the 3rd millennium BC. It forms part of the Dilmun Burial Mounds, inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019. The broader Dilmun complex spans 21 archaeological sites containing approximately 11,774 burial mounds built between 2200 and 1750 BCE, representing globally unique funerary traditions of the Early Dilmun civilization in their number, density, and scale.
