The Barbar Temple is an archaeological complex in the village of Barbar, Bahrain, comprising at least three successive temples built during the Dilmun culture period [1]. The site was rediscovered by a Danish archaeological team in 1954 [1]. The complex features two altars and a natural spring, believed to have held spiritual significance for worshippers [2]. The temples were dedicated to the god Enki, master of underground fresh waters and wisdom, and his wife Ninhursag [2].
