An archaeological site in Diraz village, Bahrain, featuring an oval hollow of roughly 60 by 30 metres containing two wells dating to the 3rd millennium BC Dilmun period. Excavated by Danish (1954) and Japanese (1990s) expeditions, the wells yielded Early Dilmun artifacts including two headless ram statues and a limestone altar block. Rooms and ovens on the southern side are later additions. The site once held Bahrain's most productive artesian spring.
