Korikos Antik Kenti

Korikos Antik Kenti (Corycus) was an ancient city in Cilicia Trachaea, Anatolia, located at the mouth of the Şeytan deresi valley [1][2]. First attested in Hittite texts, the settlement flourished during the Hellenistic and Roman periods [1]. Key monuments include the Black Castle, Sea Castle, a colonnaded street, three Roman baths, temple ruins, and a Byzantine-period open-top cistern [1]. The site is now occupied by the town of Kızkalesi in Mersin Province, Turkey [2].
