Turunçova

Turunçova is located near the ancient Carian town of Phoinix (Phoenix) on the Bozburun Peninsula in southwestern Turkey. The area in the Phoinix district of ancient Caria has been inhabited since at least the 5th century BC, with Classical wall ruins at the acropolis and a Hellenistic necropolis among distinctive stepped pyramids. The site was part of the mainland territory controlled by Rhodes and contains remains spanning from the Hellenistic period through late antiquity.
