Çem Kalesi

Çem Kalesi is a fortress situated on a high rock cliff in present-day Turkey. The entrance features a worn inscription carved into stone on the left side of the tomb entrance [1]. On the right side of the doorway, a cross motif within a circle is carved into the stone [1]. The arched entrance is adorned with two lion figures facing each other, rendered in high relief on the arch walls [1]. A small window positioned above the door allowed guards to monitor visitors before granting entry [1]. The upper structure was constructed using rubble stones [1].
