Centro Arqueológico de Chinchero

Chinchero is an Inca archaeological site in Peru's Cusco region, situated on the ancient road linking the Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu. The site features impressive polygonal masonry walls made of precisely fitted stone blocks forming retaining walls and agricultural terraces. Large rooms with doorways, windows, and niches are preserved throughout the complex. Three shrines called Titiqaqa, Pumaqaqa, and Chincana were built atop natural rock outcrops, serving as sacred ceremonial spaces. [1]
