The Steppe Geoglyphs are over 260 massive earth constructions in the Turgai Trough of northern Kazakhstan, discovered in 2007 by Dmitriy Dey using Google Earth satellite imagery. The figures include crosses, rings, squares, and swastika prototypes, with some spanning up to 7.5 hectares. OSL dating places key structures around 2800-2750 BC, though some may be far older. Researchers believe repeated solar alignments suggest sacred and calendrical significance for ancient steppe societies. Two geoglyphs hold national sacred status.
