KazakhstanEleke Sazy is an archaeological site in eastern Kazakhstan featuring numerous 6th-4th century BCE Early Saka kurgans (burial mounds). In 2020, excavations in the Eleke Sazy Valley uncovered multiple burial mounds containing a large collection of gold artifacts, including harness fittings, pendants, chains, and appliqués. Most items display the Animal Style characteristic of the Scythian-Saka period, dating to the 5th-4th centuries BCE [1].
