A multi-period archaeological site on the Danish island of Bornholm containing Neolithic sun temple remains and Iron Age earthworks. The site features 5,000-year-old woodhenges dating to circa 2800 BC, one reconstructed with wooden stumps in original post holes. Clay-covered platforms accessed by steps may have served as altars for sacrificial fires. Clay discs carved with sun symbols were found ritually buried beneath the poles. The first carved 'sun stone' was discovered here in 1995, leading to the identification of over 300 similar artefacts across Bornholm, fundamentally reshaping understanding of Neolithic sun worship. Iron Age semicircular ramparts and a dry ditch date to approximately 2,000 years ago.
