Kaminaljuyu is a Pre-Columbian Maya site located in present-day Guatemala City, Guatemala[1]. Primarily occupied from 1500 BC to 1200 AD, it was a major political and ceremonial center in the Valley of Guatemala[1]. The site has been described as one of the greatest archaeological sites in the New World, though its extant remains are notably unimpressive compared to other Maya cities[1].
