Wideford Hill Chambered Cairn

Wideford Hill Chambered Cairn is a Neolithic chambered cairn on Mainland, Orkney, Scotland. The tomb dates to around 2000 BC, making it approximately 4,000 years old[1]. It is similar in design to the famous Maeshowe Chambered Cairn on Orkney[1]. The monument is situated on a steep west-facing hill northwest of Wideford Hill, overlooking the Bays of Firth and Kirkwall[1]. Historic Environment Scotland established the site as a scheduled monument in 1994, providing legal protection for this significant prehistoric heritage site[1].
