Vinquoy Chambered Cairn

Vinquoy Chambered Cairn is a Neolithic chambered cairn on the island of Eday in Orkney, Scotland. Built in the early third millennium BC, it dates to approximately 3000-2500 BC [1]. The tomb is similar in design to Maeshowe, a famous Neolithic tomb on Mainland Orkney [1]. The monument was designated as a scheduled ancient monument by Historic Environment Scotland in 1936 [1]. The cairn represents the prehistoric funerary practices of the Orkney islands.
