MexicoLa Cobata is an Olmec sculptured stone artifact from ancient Mesoamerica, discovered in 1970 as the fifteenth colossal head recorded. This massive basalt sculpture measures approximately 3 by 3 metres wide and 3.4 metres high, with an estimated weight of 40 tons. Unlike most other Olmec heads, the La Cobata example is believed to be unfinished.[1][2]
