Tsitsamuri is a small village near Mtskheta, Georgia, where archaeologist Andria Apakidze unearthed a ruined acropolis of ancient Iberia in 1953 [1]. The site is identified as the Seusamora of Strabo and corresponds to the Zaden-tsikhe fortress mentioned in medieval Georgian chronicles [1]. The acropolis was overlooked by Mount Zedazeni, where a later Christian monastery was built [1].
