Stanydale Temple

Stanydale Temple is a Neolithic site on Mainland, Shetland, Scotland. Located in a field south of Stanydale village, approximately 34 km (21 mi) by road northwest of Lerwick, the site originally functioned as a roofed building. Today, only a large walled enclosure remains. Despite uncertainty about its exact purpose, the structure's unusual size suggests it served a communal function or was the residence of a person of significance. [1]
