Eflatun Pınar Hitit Anıtı

Eflatun Pinar is a Hittite spring sanctuary from the second half of the 13th century BC, located in Lake Beysehir National Park, 85 km west of Konya in central Anatolia. The monument, approximately 7 metres high and constructed from 19 stone blocks, depicts the Storm God and Sun Goddess flanked by hybrid creatures, with five mountain deities at the base containing fountain openings. It stands beside a rectangular reservoir measuring 30 by 34 metres fed by a natural spring. The site marks the south-westerly limit of Hittite expansion and has been on the UNESCO Tentative List since 2014. Excavations from 1996 revealed the monument's lower section and underground water system.
