Aspendos Ruins

Ancient Greco-Roman city in Antalya province, Turkey, founded by Greek colonists. Best known for its exceptionally preserved Roman theatre built in 155 AD by architect Zenon, with a capacity of 7,000-15,000 spectators. The Seljuks used the theatre as a caravanserai in the 13th century, contributing to its survival. The site also features a 19 km Roman aqueduct and is on the UNESCO Tentative List.
