Ban Non Wat

Ban Non Wat is a prehistoric settlement in northeastern Thailand's Nakhon Ratchasima Province, near Phimai [1]. Excavated since 2002, the site reveals 11 cultural phases spanning the Neolithic to Iron Age (3000–1500 BC) [1][2]. The excavations uncovered 640 burials, making it one of Southeast Asia's most extensively studied prehistoric cemetery sites [1]. The ancient village was situated farther from the Mun River than its modern counterpart, with evidence of continuous occupation throughout prehistory [1].
