Fengbitou Archaeological Site

The Fengbitou Archaeological Site (鳳鼻頭遺址), officially Fengpitou (Chungkengmen), lies in Chungmen Village, Linyuan District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on a plateau at the southern foot of Fengshan Hill [1]. The site covers 9.7 hectares and contains cultural layers dating to approximately 2,000–5,200 years ago (4500–3000 BC) [1]. Three prehistoric cultures are represented: Tapenkeng Culture, the Fengpitou Type of Niuchoutzi Culture, and Fengpitou Culture, demonstrating the prehistoric development of southwestern Taiwan [1].
