Pednelissos Antik Kenti

Pednelissos was an ancient Pisidian city located in the hills above Kozan, approximately 30 km north of Perge in southern Turkey. Listed by Artemidoros among the cities of Pisidia, it was besieged by Selgian forces around 220 BC. The site features well-preserved fortification walls with double defenses on the southern acropolis, an agora with adjoining basilica, a temple (c. 16 x 10 m), and a rock-cut relief of Apollo at a Hellenistic sanctuary outside the walls. Six Byzantine churches indicate continued occupation into early Christian times. Bronze coins were minted from Trajan's reign through the late 3rd century AD.
