TürkiyeA Lycian royal tomb built around 380 BC, featuring over 200 metres of polychrome limestone relief friezes depicting Greek mythology, Homeric epics, and scenes from the ruler's life. The sacred precinct measured roughly 21 metres square with walls about 3 metres high. Discovered in 1841 by Julius August Schonborn, the frieze panels were removed by Austrian archaeologists in 1881-1884 and are now displayed in Vienna's Kunsthistorisches Museum.
