Anacopia Fortress is an ancient military citadel in New Athos in the disputed Abkhazia region of Georgia, located 22 km along the coast from Sukhumi. The site measures approximately 450 × 150 meters and sits 1.6 km inland atop Iverian Mountain. It represents the most complete surviving structure of ancient Anacopia, which served as the capital of the Kingdom of Abkhazia [1].
